For e.g. SendGrid allows you to send 100 emails/day in their free plan and Mailjet allows you to send 6,000 emails per month / 200 emails per day in their free plan, so if you are within these limits, you do not need to pay additional. If you use Amazon SES, then they provide 62,000 email credits for free. After that Amazon SES charges $1 for 10K email credits.
